Director’s message

I have honor to warmly welcome you to St. Mary’s Secondary School-Namaliga website. It is through this medium that we offer you an insight into the school life and activities of our students, teachers and other stakeholders. This website is the platform where life and actions of the school finds its concrete expression and manifestation.

Our school belongs to the Salesian Congregation whose founder is St. John Bosco commonly known as Don Bosco. He is a mystic, confessor and a beacon star of education. The system of education which Don Bosco started is known as Preventive System which is based on three pillars: Reason, Religion and Loving Kindness. It is a unique system to effectively address the complex educational mission.

Every educator at Don Bosco institutions is leaded and guided by this system to bring out the best in the students as he/she carries out his/her curricular activities in the school. The sole motive of every educator in our institution is to form each student into honest citizen of our country and a person of faith. We, in Saint Mary’s Secondary School- Namaliga, have the same mission.

Don Bosco said: “Remember that education is a matter of the heart of which God teaches us, and puts the keys in our hands. Let us strive to make ourselves loved an we will see the doors of many hearts open with great ease and join us in singing praises and blessings of Him who wished to make himself our model, our way, our example in everything but especially in education of young”

I wish that every parent recognizes the immense responsibility we have in nurturing our young to bring about a better tomorrow. I also wish that every young person realizes that the future of this world is entrusted to them.

Our school is doing its part by instilling good moral values in our boys and girls. At the same time we are incorporating the use of technology in our teaching methods, to enable our students to be well equipped to understand as well as to take on any challenges they may face as they step out into an ever evolving world.
