Dear Students, Staff and parents

After almost the whole year of silent school and empty classrooms, we are delighted to to welcome all of our candidate students back in to the school premises. The extensive preparations and planning put into making school re-entry safe and welcoming is a testament to the care and commitment of our salesian community and St Mary’s staff.

We are committed to the safety of our students and staff. We are monitoring the news about COVID-19 and working with our local health officials to keep our school safe. We want to share that we are taking necessary precautions to prevent the introduction and spread of viruses and other germs by limiting the external access to the school, encouraging our students and staff to clean off high-contact areas and continue to follow the government SOPs and recommended practices such as washing hands, covering coughs and sneezes and properly wear the masks.

Our internal health facility will continue to monitor health guidelines compliance to ensure the continuity of learning on a healthy and safe school.

Through our technological capacity, we are doing our best to reinvent our teaching and learning design to optimize the learning catch-up of our students and refocus our professional development to introduce and expand distance and online learning support to our teachers and students. We are trying to avail online key resources as course syllabi, books, holiday’s exercises, etc. through our website.

We thank you for your endless support.

With warmest regards,

Rev. Fr. Désiré IRUNGA
